Englewood Lemon Bay Sunrise Rotary Club

The Englewood Lemon Bay Sunrise Rotary Club surprised the 3rd graders at Englewood Elementary School with Dictionaries on Thursday morning.  President Jim Hinck had a team of some of his members join him to deliver them to the school.  The children were so happy to write their name on their very own dictionary that was theirs to keep!  It was especially special for Jim as he attended Englewood Elementary school from Kindergarten thru 6th...

Posted by on Oct 11, 2017 in News | 0 comments

What’s Your Rotary Story Every Rotarian has a “Rotary Story” to share.  Here’s one that’s inspiring and shows just how impactful Rotary Youth Exchange is on not only the students, but the host families too.   ROMI’S PERSPECTIVE: The first time I came to the United States, I was 17 years old. All I knew were a few English words and how to introduce myself in English. I was born in  Tokyo and raised up in the small city, Okayama. My view was very narrow and I didn’t have the flexibility to accept the difference. Rotary gave me  an opportunity...

Membership Matters – October 2017

Membership Matters – October 2017 It’s hard to believe that we have just completed one quarter of the current Rotary year, and by now, all Club Presidents have well and truly got their feet under the table! I am pleased to report that the past quarter has seen membership grow in District 6960 by 39 new members, from 2,286 up to 2,325. Congratulations to all clubs for working hard to propose new members and not forgetting providing a value proposition to encourage all members, both existing and new, to stay in Rotary. It is only this...

We are going to have a SPECIAL EDITION District Newsletter with updates on our relief efforts for Irma, and a little Harvey and Maria added in. Look for it in your email inbox in the coming weeks.
